Square Enix revealed on Thursday that they will be partnering with Nexon Korea to develop a mobile version of Final Fantasy XI, titled Final Fantasy XI Mobile. Final Fantasy XI is a MMORPG that was originally released on the PC and PlayStation in 2002 and later released for the Xbox 360 in 2006. Square Enix also announced (via Eurogamer) the servers for the Xbox 360 and PS2 version will be shutting down in 2016, leaving the PC and mobile versions as the only way to get your Final Fantasy XI fix…
Final Fantasy Mobile will feature enhanced graphics and will utilize features designed exclusively for mobile devices. Nexon states:
“These optimizations will include improving party organizing systems, enriching solo-play functionality, improving battle functionality, and enhancing in-game events and features,”
